As a small family-run business, it is paramount for us that every child feels part of our nursery family and that we know each and every child and parent on a personal level.
​
We use the 1 person 1 language approach - meaning it does not matter if parents do not speak any Spanish at home. However, this will obviously accelerate children's fluency in Spanish.

An excellent mentor to our team who strives to be the best in education, Rachel is always thinking of ways to make our nursery the best that it can be!
Her commitment to early years education makes her the perfect Managing Director.

Jemma
Nursery Manager and SENDCo
Jemma is a bubbly and very friendly member of our team, going out of her way to make sure that all children, parents and staff feel welcome.
She has had previous experience within the childcare sector as she has worked with children for the past 13 years.
Jemma has a level 3 qualification in childcare.
She speaks English and is beginning to learn Spanish.

Director
​With a profound knowledge in Finance and Budget Management, Kerry is an asset to the team. Running two other education companies both nationally and in Spain, Kerry is not present in the Nursery on a daily basis but is always involved in the decision making. Her commitment to childhood education makes them the perfect Director.

Georgia
Nursery Manager
Georgia has recently been the Ravenstone manager and is now starting a new challenge at the Ashby nursery.

Georgia has a First Class honours degree in Early Childhood Studies (Early Years Professional Status) as well as continuing her study to complete her Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education 3-7 years (Qualified Teacher Status), teaching in a primary school for 4 years.

Stacey
Director
Possessing a contagious enthusiasm, Stacey was one of the founders of the Bilingual Day Nursery Ashby. Running two other education companies both nationally and in Spain, Stacey is not present in the Nursery on a daily basis but is always busy in the background of the day to day running of the nursery.

Mia
Mariquitas (Baby Room) Leader
Mia has worked in childcare for over 3 years. She completed her apprenticeship with her previous setting and is Level 3 qualified. She loves working with and all things babies. Mia is very passionate about her work and is so excited to get started with us. Whilst Mia is at nursery, she loves to get messy and fully immerse herself in messy play. She is always in the look out for new activities for the babies. When she is at home Mia loves to stay active. She loves to go running and do pilates.

Caris
Apprentice
Caris joined our team this year as an apprentice and will be working toward her Level 3 qualification in childcare while gaining hands-on experience at the nursery. She is a dedicated and hardworking student who enjoys spending time with children and bringing creativity to the ways she supports their development and helps them achieve their milestones.

Mariquitas Assistant Room Leader
Emese is a Hungarian national who moved to the UK as an au pair. She has children of her own, and joined our team in 2021. Emese has achieved a Level 3 qualification whilst working at the nursery. She loves to keep looking for different and creative ways to help children to achieve their next steps.​
In her free time, Emese loves to get creative with activities such as knitting!​

Maria
Mariquitas (Baby Room) Practitioner
Maria joined the team in Feb 2025, Maria came all the way from South America and is adapting to English life! Maria is based in our Mariquita room alongside Caris,Eve and Emese.
In Maria’s spare time she enjoys listening to music, spending time with her family and being cooking. Maria loves to travel and see different parts of the world as often as she can.

Apprentice
Eve joined our team this year as an apprentice and will be working toward her Level 3 qualification in childcare while gaining hands-on experience at the nursery. She is a bubbly and is excited to be starting her apprenticeship. Eve enjoys getting to know the children individually and helping them to feel settled by building a bond with them!

Raquel
Abejas (Toddler 1 Room) Leader
Raquel is a passionate and dedicated nursery practitioner with a lifelong love for working with children. With a background in early childcare education, Raquel has worked as a nursery teacher in various settings, including three years in Spain and experience at a university nursery in Oxford, UK, followed by a position in a London nursery.
In her free time, Raquel enjoys singing, creating origami, baking, hiking, playing sports, and exploring new places through travel.

Abejas (Toddler 1 Room) Practitioner
Flo joined us from Uruguay this year, bringing extensive experience working with children in her home country. Eager to expand her experience in the UK, she loves creating engaging and creative activities using a variety of resources to encourage children to play and learn Spanish
Flo studied to become an Early Years teacher in Uruguay and has worked as a teaching assistant, volunteering in various schools to support children’s growth and learning.

Vialli
Mariposas (Toddler 2) Room Leader
With a nurturing personality and hands-on approach towards learning, we are thrilled to have Vialli as a part of our team. She is very highly appreciated by all children and parents.
Vialli completed her apprenticeship in Childcare and is currently learning Spanish.

Mariposas (Toddlers 2) / Early years practitioner
Lauren joined our team in July 2023 and brings a wealth of experience in early years education. She is passionate about guiding children through their developmental milestones with patience and care, making each day at the nursery rewarding. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys painting, drawing, and expanding her skills by learning new languages.

Arañas (Pre-School) Room Leader
Georgia has finished studying for her degree in Primary Education (3-7 years) with QTS degree. She loves to go down the forest and have a bear hunt, whilst also looking for all of the creepy crawlies along the way!
She has previously completed placements in a range of education settings, giving her lots of ideas that interest our children. ​

Arañas (Pre-School) Room Practitioner
Carlita joined our nursery at the start of this year. She came all the way from Spain.
She’s been taking care of her cousins and nephews for many years now and loves a new challenge! She is enjoying learning about UK Early Years.
At nursery she’s always involved in the children’s roleplay and likes to do crafts with them.
In her free time, she likes to travel to different countries and enjoys spending time with her friends, listening to music and playing the piano.

Arañas (Pre-School) Room Practitioner
Cintia has joined us from Argentina. She worked as a Teacher back in her country for 12 years. She loves to listen to music, playing the guitar, singing and using these skills to teach a second language. Cintia will be studying to complete her Level 5 qualification whilst working at the nursery.

Arañas (Pre-School) Room Practitioner
Alba joined us from Spain in 2023. She studied Early years education back in this country and has experience working in nurseries. She loves to teach Spanish to children through play and they love it.
Alba’s favorite hobby is horse riding. She’s very good at it. She also loves traveling and doing new things alongside friends and family.

Training Forest School Leader
Sam joined our Ashby team last year, and has been busy getting to know all of the children in the baby, toddler and pre-school rooms whilst she has been studying for her Level 3 apprenticeship, which she completed last year.
​Sam loves being outside and helping the children to explore the outdoor environments and so is taking on a new challenge by starting her forest school training.

Katie has joined the nursery this year.
She has years of experience as nursery assistant and cooking. She’s a very well organized person who likes to be very meticulous when it comes about doing the best meals taking care of anyone's allergies and dietary requirements.
